What Causes Fever,sore Throat And Diarrhea Despite Taking Ibuprofen?

Hello, my 16 year old daughter started vomiting and had diarreah a few days ago. The vomiting stopped, but then she spiked a Fever of 102. Ibuprofen has been taking it down. Been giving her lots of fluids. She felt better for a day and went Fever free, but last night started complaining of a sore throat and her Fever spiked back up. Throat looks normal. No spots/ streaks. It s not even red. She has no tonsils. I gave her ibuprofen about an hour ago and since then, her Fever has gone up to 103. She is having diarreah again today. Could this be a virus that has to run its course, or does she need to go to the dr?

Hi,
From history it seems that she might be having stomach virus or some gastro-intestinal infection.
If loose motions continued then she should go to Er as there is risk of having dehydration.
Continue giving ibuprofen when needed.
Give her plenty of water, electrolytes and ORS liquid.
Give her light diet.
Ok and take care.
