What Causes Fibroadenomas Of The Breast?

I had the triple assessment done and was diagnosed with fibroadenoma from the breast center of Lansing. I moved and was examed by another Dr. He did no tests except a physical exam and recognized me with fibrocystic. I am now confused. My breasts hurt, extremely bad. I can t emphasise how much they hurt and the pain goes up into my armpits. Should I find another Dr? Is it possible that I have both?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

A triple assessment is way more diagnostic than a physical examination alone. Usually fibro-adenomas are benign and surgery is recommended when the mass is symptomatic (pain or rapid increase in size). Hence surgical removal of the mass is recommended.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
