What Causes Flaky Skin Around Sides Of Nose?

I have flaky skin around the sides of my nose. I had this for years as a young adult but it went away a few yrs ago. Recently, it has come back. This time it's sort of itchy. I read somewhere (can't remember where) that a vitamin deficiency can cause this. Do you know anything about this?

Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
It seems you are suffering from Seborrheic dermatitis, a kind of inflammatory skin condition with fungal cause.
I dont think any particular vitamin deficiency has got to do anything with seborrheic dermatitis.
I generally recommend oral antifungal drugs like fluconazole/itraconazole for few weeks along with local application of mild steroid like fluticasone mixed with antifungal like terbinafine for few weeks.
Regular use of salicyclic acid based facewash with help in preventing the recurrence.
Avoid excessive use of cosmetics/talcum/moisturiser.
Hope this will take care of your condition and wish you best of health.
Thank you
