I heard about a lady (dr.) having melanoma in her navel. She described it as flaky skin. So I started digging around in mine and little particles fell out. What are these? and now skin is pealing in my navel. Is this the flaky skin she was talking about? should I be worried? Should I get checked out?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history of flaky skin, my treatment advice is:
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it. 3. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream twice daily on it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
