Hi. my husband is 56 yo. He has been c/o right flank pain radiating to his RLQ and down to his testicles and cramping in his right upper leg. He is afebrile He had blood in his urine 10 days ago, none since then. ALL OF HIS labs were normal hE HAD AN 11.0 WBC, no blood in his urine. They have him on Lortab 7.5 and started a Medrol Dosepak. They also gave him a Depo Medrol injection today. Everyone is at a loss as to what is causing his pain.He looks and acts like a renal stone. I am a retired ER nurse.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Pain in right flank radiating to testis is probably due to the renal stone.

I suggest you consult your nephrologist for clinical assessment, ultrasound of the KUB region and further management.

In the meanwhile, your husband needs a painkiller to control the right flank pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri,
