What Causes Flashing Light In Eye Along With Blurred Vision?

I have narrow angle vision in my right eye and have recently had flashing lights and a shower of dots like little circles, I was treated first with laser before they could use Dialation drops to look behind my eye to see if I have a Retinal detachment. I was told there is no tear. I have had a glaucoma attack in my left eye a few years ago, and had a sol device fitted to help. I m a little concerned that as I m still experiencing flashing to side of my right eye that I was told there is nothing to worry about. I also have blurred vision in the right eye since this first occurred. Why am I still seeing the flashing light if all is supposedly well

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thank you for asking us on HCM!

Flashing lights, blured vision, and dots are typical signs of retinal detachment. You have glaucoma that makes more possible this event.
Please contact immediately your ophthalmologist.

Take care!
