Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, i have been Circumcised for many years. Im currently 19 years old. Ive noticed this fleshy bump on the stiched line back when i was 16 years old. They are a few of them but far apart from each other. Is it some tumor or is it normal . Pls help me doctor.
Small fleshy growths or bumps can appear on the shaft, head of penis or under the foreskin. They are caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV), which is a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Other causes of growth could be due to tumors, pimple like lesions, penile papules and very rarely keloid can occur on penis. Keloids are raised scar after any injury or surgical incision.
A direct clinical examination or a biopsy of the tissue will help in identifying the cause.I would suggest you to get back to us with photographs or visit your Doctor for further management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
