What Causes Floaters And Pain In The Eyes?

In March 2016 I started seeing floaters and had pain in the eye. Eye dr. did some tests then sent me to neurologist for LB puncture checking for MS. Was negative but my spinal fluid slightly elevated. They don t seem to know what it is. Pain eyebrow area now and eye aches, feels different then the left one. Having eye pain sometimes into the temple and it is not a headache it is a pain then goes away for a bit.

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
I feel it should be a neurologic problem. There are some neurologic problems that will not be revealed by physical examination unless when severe. The symptoms you describe could by caused by:
-An Ophthalmic nevralgia
-Trigeminal nevralgia
-Facial nevralgia
-Also, a primary headache like migraine may give you such symptoms.
I will suggest you discuss this with your Neurologist.Such pains no matter the cause will be relieve by second and third line pain medications and/or steroids. You may take a paracetamol/codeine combination like klipal 600 during acute attacks. You may see your Doctor to prescribe you steroids occasionally as these are drugs not to be taken always or frequently given their side effects and should be taken with medical prescription.
Hope this will help you
Best regards
