What Causes Floaters In The Eyes After A Facial Injury?

I fell last Wednesday night and hit the left side of my face and eye. I was wearing my glasses at the time. I have developed a black eye which began at my temple and has worked to a full blown shiner. As of this afternoon I have some major floaters in the black eye. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You have to get your Retina checked as soon a second possible.
Floaters could be symptom of anything ranging from not so dangerous hemorrhage in your vitreous that's the cavity of eye ball or a very dangerous tear in your Retina . Please get your Retina checked and then we can proceed accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
