What Causes Floaters In The Eyes?

Last night I thought there was either something in my eye or on my upper eye lashes. I couldn t find anything looking in my 10x magnifying mirror. Asked my daughter to see if she could detect anything and she could not. But today I am still seeing something . It moves with my eye movements and it looks like maybe the outline of the colored part of my eyeball with the pupil at the center. I have green eyes, am 56 yes old. Always had perfect vision until about 10 years ago started needing magnifying glasses to read. I am now up to 2.5 magnification. It is not a solid outline but rather like a rough drawing
