I have had six rounds of chemotherapy for lymphoma and eight weeks later I am still experiencing flu like symptoms in most of my joints and including neck spine and hips. I am also noticing lots of fluid retention especially in my legs. I was prescribed progout when i was having the chemo and now I take pariet. I have been steadily gaining weight sometimes I kilo a week. How can I stop the fluid retention and the weight gain?

Hi,

This sounds like injury to lymph nodes and can be corrected with surgery. You should talk to your oncology surgeon about this.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
