What Causes Flu, Muscles And Joints Aching, Facial, Neck And Jawline Spots?

I have had 4days of the flu. Really aching muscles and joints with it. I noticed quite a few what look like large spots appearing on my face mainly neck and Jaw line but a few on forehead and in hair. They are larger than a normal spot. There are quite a few and as the virus seems much better I still have them and a sore throat. Any ideas is this normal with flu symtoms.
