What Causes Fluctuating BP After Angioplasty?

Hi Dr, My father went through angioplasty in June this year however he has been experiencing blood pressure fluctuation. Yest he felt numbness on his left side after the scan it was determined as a minor stroke. Is it case of Hemodynamic instability, if so is there any treatment further. In my research I got disturbing result of high mortality

Hello welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.

As such there are no correlation between blood pressure fluctuations and angioplasty.

Askntou to do 24 hrs ambulatory blood pressure monitoring by which you can confirm about blood pressure fluctuations. If any significant fluctuations, your doctor will found and treat it.

Treatment with longer acting medications for blood pressure is sufficient in cases of fluctuating hypertension.

In stroke and post angioplasty, drug therapy will be same and that is tab aspirin. So continue that medicine. Don't worry about Longterm mortality.

Do his 2d echo and trademill stress test when scheduled by your doctor.
