What Causes Fluctuating BP Readings Post Losartan Withdrawal?

I have been on losartan for several years, I recently stopped losartan and crestor due to have joint pain.I have been off both for about 2 weeks and now I have developed a wide range of BP.From as high as 200/90 and as low as 91/68.I was just released from the hospital due to all tests were negitive (blood enzimes, chest exray, etc. all were negitive). My THS was 10.4 I believe.Could the losartan be the culpret for such a fluxuation in BP.It has been pretty steady until now.

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, long standing steady Blood pressure was related to action of Losartan which is an Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor drug controlling the blood pressure nice way. It is the sudden withdrawal of the Losartan which is responsible for high fluctuations. Kindly restart your previous dose of the medicine, consume salt restricted diet and immediately consult office of your doc for further guidelines.
