What Causes Fluctuating WBC Levels?

last 20 days hospitalized my mother 56yrs WBCcount is increasing and decreasing due to this fever and short breathe in interval 12hrs or 15hrs. Doctors identified lungs infected due to bacteria infection lot of antibiotic treatment given no change WBC count know is 22,500cc

Hi,

The elevated white cells is due to active infection like pneumonia. Consult a physician and start on antibiotics. Nothing much to worry as it will improve with proper and timely antibiotics.
