What Causes Fluctuating Blood Pressure During Pregnancy?

I'm 5-months pregnant and I've never had a problem w/my blood pressure. Since last night it's been going up and down. I had constant headache for the last 2 days which made me check it. My blood pressure is 138/88 right now. Is that high?

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion 138/88 is not high.> 140/90 is mild hypertension in pregnancy and >160/100 is severe.Mild variations in BP might be normal you need not worry.Lie down in left or right lateral position to increase the blood supply to fetus.Anxiety might also increase BP.So relax.
