What Causes Fluctuating Blood Pressure With Dizziness?

Hi I was wondering why my blood pressure dropped from what is usually very high and sometimes hard to control to 87/57. I take lisinopril Hctz every morning and it is unusual for my bp to be less than 135/85. I woke up this morning and took my bp med and acid reducer { Omeprazole} and realized my heart rate was up so I took a Carvedilol 25mg and a short time later I took my bp and it was 87/57. I am 54 yrs old my height is 5.4 weight is 160. I was a little dizzy.

Hello welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.

The answer lies in your question only.
CARVEDILOL AT 25mg IS EXTREMELY HIGH DOSE. PLEASE NEVER TAKE SELF MEDICATION WITHOUT EXPERT ADVICE.

Are you taking CARVEDILOL routinely?

Tab CARVEDILOL will cause low blood pressure and low heart rate. Usual starting dose is at 3.125 mg. 25 mg is highest dosage.

Kindly consult your cardiologist and go for 24 hrs ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. It will give you proper idea how your blood pressure is fluctuating.

I hope you have got your answer.

Thank you.
Have a nice day.
