What Causes Fluctuating Temperature In An Infant?
My 9 month old daughter has been running a fever the past few days. Sometimes as high as 102. My wife is now freaking out because our daughters fever broke last night and now tonight her temperature is a 96.5. Is this normal for a childs temperature to dip below normal after a fever? Should she be seen by our family physician?

Rise in temprature of a baby is due to some cause. May be sudden change in atmospheric temprature,infection some where in body etc.
Understanding the cause followed by specific medication is a must in children.
Consultation of doctor thus becomes important. So that needful medicines, needful dosage & other health tips are provided by an expert.
If drug like paracetamol is given to lower temprature. It will drop down suddenly &in case basic cause still persists,may rise again.
96.5 is lower border of normal body temprature of a child of 9months. It would gradually attain normal level of all the instructions of treating doctor are followed strictly.
But if it does not OR. If temp.drops down still more or she again has high temp.,you should urgently see her doctor.
Keep the baby warm by wrapping in moderately thick blanket.Avoid exposure to cold air.Feed herwith breast milk(the best) or her routine feed .Give her warm water in between.Give paracetamol only if her temp.rises again.
