What Causes Fluctuation In Blood Pressure?

My blood pressure today is 93/63 after taking an addition medication as of yesterday Diavan after already taking Topral 50Mg. My cordialgist put me Diavan in addition to Topral after my pressure in his office was 140/83. Should I continue with the Diavan? Is this pressure too low? I might add that I normally pride myself on a good pressure of 120/70. Sincerely, Elizabeth

Hello,

I would explain that your blood pressure values are quite low. For this reason, I would not recommend taking Diovan.

The high blood pressure values at your doctors office could be related to anxiety (also called White Coat Syndrome), and they do not need to be treated, in case your blood pressure values are within the normal ranges most of the time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
