What Causes Fluctuation In Thyroid Levels?

Hi, my TSH level went from 1.78 to 3.79 2 months later. We were watching it because I was having symptoms of hypothyroid. I have been on 30mg of Armour for about 2 months now. I was beginning to feel better, but recently I feel like my symptoms are returning. I am an otherwise healthy 28 year old vegan. Any thoughts? Is 30 mg considerably low? I am supposed to go back in 4 weeks to have retested. thanks!

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi dear
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

Your last TSH level is near the upper limit of the normal range but is still normal. What i see in your results is the "tendency" toward Hypothyroidism.
This means that your actual dose of Armour is not sufficient to to satisfy the body requirement for thyroid hormons.

I suggest to talk with an endocrinologist about your symptoms.Annyway i m sure that your doctor will do the necessary dose adjustement after the resuts of the thyroid tests that you will do after four weeks.

Hope i have answeres to your question.
Thank you for usinh HCM.
Wish you good health.
