Hello,
Fluctuations in
blood test report for
hypothyroidism occurs due to weight gain, progression of
autoimmune disease thyroid disorder. Other factors that may influence the fluctuations are inadequate dose, changes in the medications being taken.
Some have fluctuations quite frequently while in some it is not so, it's almost stable. It can also be due to the underlying health condition like Graves' disease, Hashimoto's disease. Age and seasonal changes can also affect it. You are suggested to get T3, T4, TSH done routinely. Get clinically examined by a GP.
Get a complete medical check-up done so that the underlying health condition or any other pathology that is detected can be treated at the earliest. There may be need to change the dose and monitor your health condition. Stay away from all addictions like
smoking, caffeine, alcohol, and drugs.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
