What Causes Fluctuations In Body Temperature?

Hi, my mother is 89 and has had 2 treatments of radiotherapy for lung cancer. At present she is not on any prescribed medication but is constantly plagued by temperature fluctuations during the day claiming she feels unwell, even though her vitals are deemed fine. I ve recently noticed that she is using paracetamol regularly as a sort of panacea....could the paracetamol be the problem?

Hello,

Yes it's Paracetamol that causing fluctuation in temperature. Use Paracetamol only when thermometer shows body temperature above 39°C. Paracetamol is not good drug as a panacea. She can take tab Calcium for a placebo effect and as a panacea.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
