What Causes Fluid Build Up In Elbow Joint When Diagnosed With Gout?

My husband has been dealing with fluid in his elbow joint for a month or so. He s had it drained but it keeps coming back. He s been diagnosed with gout but they say he need to have the bursa sac removed surgically. What are your thoughts on this? bf

Gout is arthritis and inspite of removing bursal say, Joint fluid can accumulate. He needs urate lowering drugs to treat gout. Avoid alcohol, meat, meat gravies, Spinach, Avocado. Drink 2 litres of water daily.
