What Causes Fluid Buildup Inside Grafted Skin After Using Prosthesis With Silicom Liner?

hello, i am a right below knee amputee and recently i started using prosthesis with silicom liner, after using it for 2 or 3 days, some liquid filled inside the grafted skin and little part of skin got removed, i am applying betadin powder over it but its not healing. what should i do?

Hi,

This may be from friction with the prosthesis, which may need adjustment. Remove the prosthesis for the time being and get back to your doctor or prosthetist. Try applying mupirocin ointment twice daily instead of betadine. Keep the area clean and dry.
