What Causes Fluid Built Up In Cartilaginous Portion Of My Ear?

I had fluid building up in the upper cartilaginous portion of my ear. Over time if became about a centimeter and a half in diameter. I could squeeze the area and it would push the liquid within the skin as if it were tunneling toward my inner ear. I stuck an 18 gauge hypodermic needle in the lowest point using sterile technique to drain the fluid and upon its release it was a clear to yellow tint think viscous liquid, with the needle in place I messaged as much fluid out of the area as possible and alcohol and gauze bandage to the area. What could be the cause of this unexpected condition and should I have concern?

Hi, i do care for your concern.
Your history suggest more of a superficial skin infection.
Need not panic as this could be treated with antibiotics.
If i were your treating doctor then i would advise
To start on antibiotic i.e cefexime along with antacid for 5 days,
To use antiseptic containing soap
To review after 5days.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Thank you.
