Hi,

Fluid discharge from the nostril after drinking could be due to a condition called nasal regurgitation. This is when the fluid that is swallowed does not enter the stomach, but instead, enters the nasal cavity and then drips out through the nostril. Nasal regurgitation can be caused by various conditions including:
* Structural abnormalities: This includes conditions like a deviated septum or nasal polyps that can block the nasal passage and lead to nasal regurgitation.
* Neurological conditions: Certain neurological conditions like Parkinson's disease, cerebral palsy, or stroke can affect the muscles responsible for swallowing and lead to nasal regurgitation.
* Damage to the throat: Surgery or injury to the throat can cause difficulty in swallowing and lead to nasal regurgitation.
* Esophageal disorders: Certain esophageal disorders like achalasia or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can cause fluid to back up and enter the nasal cavity.

In your case, your deviated septum or the surgery you had to correct it may be causing the fluid to enter the nasal cavity and result in discharge. However, it would be best to consult an ENT specialist who can examine you and determine the underlying cause of your symptoms. Additionally, the drooling on your right side may also require further evaluation to determine the underlying cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
