What Causes Fluid Filled Blisters On The Lower Legs After Shaving?

I have noticed after I shave, my lower legs will get bumps that appear to be little pimples. I can get it out but it stays and won t go away. The area gets red and is warm to the touch. Clear liquid also comes out. This is just recent, never had this before. What could this be and how would Intreat it?

Hi,

As per your query you have fluid filled blisters on the lower legs after shaving which seems to be hair follicle infection leading to folliculitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take hot Sitz bath for sometime daily and apply over the counter antibiotics cream. Wear loose cotton track pants and avoid wearing synthetic clothes.

If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor will examine physically. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics, along with anti inflammatory and cortico-steroid ointments.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
