What Causes Fluid Filled Blisters Under Armpit?

Hello I have these small clear fluid filled blisters under my armpit. They burst spread and leave horrible looking sores. I ve been to the doctor the told me it was shingles and that there was nothing they could do and to let it run It s course. I m not sure its shingles because he also said most people complain of pain which I haven t had any pain but when applying rubbing alcohol. Also today it seemed to smell like rotten fish which also makes me think its not shingles as I don t think that is a symptom. Please help I need some answers!

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Painless fluid filed blisters in arm pit with foul odor could be due to infection. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and management. In case the blisters have ruptured, then dressing needs to be done.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
