What Causes Fluid Retention In The Body And Lungs?

Hi, I have a huge fluid buildup in my entire body. It even gets around my lungs at times. I am on 3 fluid pills in am and pm a needed for fluid. And I take 10 mg of potassium per fluid pill. I have shortness of breath and heart palpitations at times. No one seems to know what is wrong with me. I have been thru all heart tests and everything is normal. I do have sleep apnea and wear my c-pap regularly. I am totally exhausted. My white blood count stays elevated between 13,000 and 15,000. I have seen a hematologist and have been checked and found negative for Leukemia. He informed me I do have an inflammatory disease, but is unsure of the type. I was to the point of not being able to take a shower without topping to lay down and rest. I am just at my wits end. The cardiologist I see put me on the fluid pills and I lost 30 lbs in a very short time. It doesn t seem to stay off long at all. I can wake up and be 20 lbs heavier then the day before My calf muscles feel very tight and I have pain in entire legs and even hips. I am not sure if it is all fluid related or not. Any ideas or suggestions?

Hello,

You might be having a condition called pulmonary oedema. Consult a physician and get evaluated. You have to start on drugs like diuretics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
