What Causes Flushed Face, With Swollen Lips And Swollen Throat?

brother is 62. symptoms: flushed face,lip swells,thing hanging down in his throat swells to a huge blob looking thing. hard to breath through his mouth while symptoms are occuring. Sees a VA doctor gave him steroids they don t know what is causing it. Wakes up in the middle of the night with the swelling.

Hi,

The symptoms of your brother seem to be related to an allergic reaction. I recommend taking daily antihistamines such as Levocetirizine daily. I also recommend him to continue the steroids given by the doctor.
