Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Went to my dr for face flushing, mild numbness on right side of face, some on left side, pressure in my temples and watery mouth. My blood pressure was fine. He doesn t think these are stroke conditions. He is sending me for urine and blood tests. I ve had these conditions occasionally for the past two years but now it is on a daily basis. I am on no medication except omeprazole. I am a 58 year old male. I would appreciate your opinion.
Flushing and numbness on one side if the face can be totally normal. It's not always a stroke symptom. Do you have high blood sugar levels?
Omeprazole does not cause any such symptoms. Do you have excessive sweating or sweating on one side of the face? It can also due to neuropathy, anxiety or stress related issue. Do you smoke or use alcohol? The answer to the above questions and evaluation may help to rule out and diagnose and treat.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Melita Wesley,
General & Family Physician
