Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Flushing On The Face Along With Body Chills?
I have been experiencing face flushing, chills and hotness. I get painful cramps followed by a bowel movement but stomach pain remains but not the cramping. I also get bloating and gas. I have been taking Miralax most evenings as directed by my doctor. If I don t take it regularly I get constipated. My stomach starts to hurt when I am hungry. The pain is subsided some by the food but not entirely. It seems to occur more in the afternoons or early evenings. I have bee diagnosed with IBS, is that what is going on. The face flushing and chills seem to be a new thing. I would appreciate any insight possible. I am presently taking Nexium once a day.

Hi,
You seem to have added bowel infection causing severe colic on abdomen leading to face flushing & hotness. Stool examination would reveal the exact causative organisms; followed by specific medication tocire the infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
