What Causes Fluttering Feeling At The Bottom Of Esophagus?
I ve been experiencing fluttering kind of feeling at the bottom of my esophagus. it seems to go away when i lay down but returns when sitting or standing. I take pantoprazole for reflux as well as anxiety medications. seems to happen when i have dairy products or spicy foods. thinking of going to have a test done where they look down my esophagus to see whats going on as this has been going on for years
Your symptoms are suggestive of possible acid reflux. Should run upper endoscopy and discuss with gastroenterologist for possible treatment.
For the moment, I can only suggest to stay away from foods/drinks that would aggravate/precipitate the symptoms. And do take antacids to stabilize stomach pH.
All the best.
