What Causes Fluttering Noise In Ear And Dizziness?

I had an 8cm cyst cut out from behind my right ear 3 yrs ago. I have periodically felt pain behind that ear since it was cut out. Recently it has felt like there is hot fluid in that ear and I get the feeling of pressure on my right temple, sometimes extending to almost the entire right side of my head. I also sometimes hear a fluttering noise in that ear which almost causes me to pass out and other times I just feel dizzy or my legs and hands go numb, typically on the left side. Could this have anything to do with having that cyst cut out or is it something else?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to several causes.

For further assessment you may require detailed ear examination, computed tomography brain after ENT consultation.

You may require tablet betahistine.

Avoid sudden head movements and continue epley 's manuver.

Hope I have answered your query, let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale,
