What Causes Fluttering Of Chest And Pain Around Shoulder And Left Arm?

Hi, I have a jittery feeling in my left arm and an ache in the same shoulder. I also have some fluttering in my chest. no other symptoms. i am 31 yrs old and a female 5 ft and 140 lbs. i had a baby 14 mos ago but otherwise have had no other heath issues. i don't recall over using my arm and i have had no injuries. the jittery feeling has been there for about 4 days. it also feels weaker than than normal. do you think i should consult a physician or do you think the jittery feeling is from the shoulder ache?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, you should definitely consult your physician.
We should first rule out heart diseases like arrhythmia in your case. Arrhythmia (rhythm disturbances in heart) can cause Fluttering feeling in chest, left shoulder pain, weakness in arm etc.
So better to get done
1. Blood pressure monitoring
2. Ecg
3. 2d echo
4. Holter monitoring (24 hours continuous recording of ecg).
If all these are normal then no need to worry for arrhythmia or other heart diseases.
Sometimes, simple musculoskeletal pain can be the cause.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks
