What Causes Fluttering Sensation Below The Rib Cage?

For the past few days I have been feeling a flutter just below my rib cage. I am not pregnant, but am recently getting off of anxiety medication & probably have too much caffeine throughout the day. I only notice it at night when I m laying down. It is not painful & doesn t last long. What could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your symptoms could be due to muscle twitch, aortic pulsation, acid reflux/indigestion, anxiety.
Just wait and watch, it will disappear it own.
Meanwhile avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, do regular exercise like walking and yoga,
Take small frequent meal rather than large meal
Avoid spicy/oily/fatty food
If problem continues after week then consult the general physician and undergo detailed examination, chest Xray, ECG and USG abdomen to rule out other cause.
Hope this may help you
