What Causes Fluttering Sensation In Chest And Coughing?

I am experiencing a fluttering sensation in my chest and then have to cough. It occurs at rest and activity. I am aware of my heart beating at rest during these sensations as it feels a bit pounding. I'm not sure what to make of it, but it is increasing in frequency.I am 56yr. 5ft 2in, 135lbs

Fluttering sensations in chest with palpitations (awareness of own heart beats) and cough are common features of arrhythmia (rhythm disturbances in heart).
So first get done
1. Clinical examination of heart
2. Ecg
3. 2d echo
4. Holter monitoring (24 hours continuous monitoring of ecg).
You may need anti arrhythmia drugs.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
First diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
