What Causes Fluttering Sensation In Chest?

I have what feels like a flutter in my chest, like my heart skipping. It has been constant for a couple weeks now. It is bothersome and i dont like the way it feels. I do not experience any lightheadedness, or anything else with it. But it happens all day. I have noticed that if I have a glass of wine or a beer, it seems to stop. I take tylenol pm's every night to help me sleep and it stops when I take those as well. Please help!!! I need to know if I should go to ER, will it go away, I just want to know what to do to make it go away.

I can understand your concern.
Fluttering sensations in chest are seen with arrhythmia (rhythm disturbances in heart).
So consult cardiologist and get done ecg, 2d echo, stress test and Holter monitoring (24 hours continuous recording of Ecg).
If all these are normal then no need to worry for arrhythmia or other heart diseases.
Sometimes undiagnosed stress and anxiety can also cause similar symptoms.
So consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions.
Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution.
You may need anxiolytic drugs (propranolol and flunarizine combination) too.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
