What Causes Fluttering Sensation In Heart And Breathlessness In An Elderly Person?
I am 70 years old. For most of my adult life, my heart has skipped beats. As I have gotten older, there are times when it is more pronounced. Often I can go months without even noticing it, then other times, for a few days, it will cause the fluttery sensation in the chest and I feel a shortness of breath. This usually goes away and then returns again when I am overly tired or under more stress. I m used to it, but wonder with my age if I should be concerned now.

I really appreciate your concern, it is advisable to get done the EKG if not done, there would be no clinical symptoms one can experience unless it is sever condition, EKG is the option to know it, till then no need to worry about this, hope this information helps.
