What Causes Fluttering Sensation In Right Ear?

I am having a weird fluttering or vibration in my right ear when I yawn. I have seen 2 ENT doctors and an audio gram with normal exam. Also severe problems with descending in airplane with ears completely stopped up and ear pain. what do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is normal to have changes in the feeling in the ears with yawning because the anatomy of the eustachian tubes and the ear canals are greatly affected due to a wide opening in the jaw-level. As long as the tests are coming back normal, there is nothing to worry.

Even the ear blockage and pain that you feel with the airplane going up and down are normal as well and do not need further investigations.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
