What Causes Fluttering Sensation In The Abdomen?

I keep having these fluttery, jumpy movements in my abdomen. Sometimes it s incessant. Feels like a baby kicking. It s like a muscle spasm over and over, only no pain. No discomfort. Just constant jumpy, twitchy muscle...like...restless stomach syndrome or something!! VERY annoying and distracting.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Fluttering sensation in the tummy may happen with stress. On the other hand, if you notice visible twitching of the muscles in the area you may need to have a visit (including a neurological examination) with your doctor to rule out neurological conditions.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
