Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a fluttery spot spproxamatly the size of my hand that feels like it is floppimg around when I am relaxing in the evening.I have been told it could be my spleen. the family physician did not seem concerned or offer advice! Do you think there is something to be concerned about? If it needs to be removed, how long should I go befor It is a big problem? Thank you.
The fluttery spot you feel flopping around when you are relaxed in the evening is possible fat tissue (we call it lipoma). That's why your doctor was not worried either offered any advice.
To make you feel at peace, run ultrasound of the soft tissues.
We usually do not offer removal unless for esthetical purpose or if you start feeling pain. In either case, no serious problem can occur.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
General & Family Physician
