What Causes Fluttering Sensation In The Neck And Breathlessness?

I m having a strange feeling like fluttering at the end of my neck (tie knot location), but not all the way into my chest, also feeling like I m out of breath. I went to the hospital on 08/21/15, thought I was having a heart attack, due to severe chest pains and couldn t breath. They had to give me pain medication, but said that my heart and lungs were good, possibly pulled or pinched something. On Monday 08/17/15, when I opened my eyes my room was spinning like a merry go round. Went to the doctors on Wednesday 08/19/15 and was given cortozone for my ears. Now I have this fluttering feeling going on and don t know what to do or where to go.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to anxiety. I would like to know if you have checked your heart rate and rhythm during these episodes. In case of extra heart beats, I would be indicative of possible cardiac arrhythmia.

Anyway, I recommend checking also thyroid hormone levels and complete blood count for anemia.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
