Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Fluttering Sensation On The Left Side Of The Neck?
For the past week I have been feeling a fluttering sensation on the left side of my neck near what seems to be my carotid or jugular artery/ veins. This flutter is noticeable when I lay down and occasionally during the day and is not painfull. I don t have any other symptoms. Could this be muscle spasams? Or is it something I should be concenned about.
We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, you need to have Doppler ultrasound of neck vessels along with carotids. It can be muscular if vessels are found to be normal.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin,
