What Causes Flutters And Constant Pain In Lower Abdomen Post Merina Coil Replacement?

Hi, I am 24 years old, I am wondering if I may have a overian cyst? I have previously suffered by overian cysts in the past and in 2012 I had the Merina Coil placed to reduce heavy periods. I am now experiencing symptoms that are somewhat like pregnancy flutters but with constant pain on the right and left side of my lower abdomen.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I have read & understood your query.
Merina coil is an IUD with inbuilt hormones. The hormones can cause slight bloating of abdomen, with gas problems resembling to abdominal fluttering.
But, the pain on both sides of uterus you are complaining.. is not a side effect of the device. You need to get a check up by gynecologist to exclude infection ( Vaginal/ pelvic)/ displacement of devise & get the thing treated specifically.
Thanks.
