What Causes Foamy Saliva And Hoarseness In Voice?

Could you please tell me the possible cause of foamy salvia when I wake up. I m 83 years old. Have a history of dry eyes, esophageal problems, and occasionally my voice will turn hoarse as though I ve talked too much. Any possible thoughts? Thank you.

Hello,

Most probably it will be due to severe acid reflux.

As a first line management, you can take drugs like omeprazole or pantoprazole for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.
