What Causes Focus Problems After Wearing Contact Lens?

My daughter (29) just called me in a panic. She said that while she was trying to put her contacts in that her eyes crossed and her vision of course is affected. She said they are still crossed and she cannot focus to see clearly. She just had an eye exam in October with new strength contacts/glasses but no other issues were found. What on earth could be wrong?? She is really upset as well as I.

What is the error for which she is wearing contact. Her refraction is to be done again. With the the new number she should verify near vision and distant vision test. there should not be any problem. She need little time to adjust to new number.
