Hello,

He may be suffering from dysphagia due to many causes like esophagitis or achalasia or esophageal spasm or esophageal cancer etcetera. Avoid spicy food and alcohol. Avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use tablet Nexium before breakfast for one week. Please consult your gastroenterologist he will do an endoscopy and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
