What Causes Foot Pain With History Of Broken Blood Vessels?

I had broken blood vessels in my foot 3 months ago or so and am experiencing pain again when I am walking up and down stairs, when pressure is applied it is pain in the bottom of my foot but the top gets sensitive as well. This ingury is closer to my last 3 toes. The pain will shoot back into my ankle around the back of the bone. Any suggestions on treatment? - chiropractor told me to get a boot but I have not been prescribed one

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As post any injury there will be a weakness of the muscles and instability of the joint leading to pain.

In your case, it is reduced vascularization of the foot and weakness. I will advise doing lower limb strengthening exercises for both the limbs and feet muscle strengthening exercises too.

Using a modified shoe will be good. Once you get enough strength you may have pain free movements.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
