What Causes Forgetfulness, Fatigue, Fainting And Frequent Urination?

I was diagnosed with Polymyositis 17 years ago (I am now 55 years old). Medications up to this point (prominently cyclosporine) worked. Approximately two weeks ago I began experiencing FORGETFULNESS, fatigue, falling, urinating without the urge to pee (on clothing) and feeling overwelmed and not able to complete easy tasks. I fell 6 months ago, hit my head and was diagnosed with a concussion. Can a concussion cause problems 6 months later? Thank you for your time. Kathryn

Hi,

Noted your history of diagnosed Polymyositis controlled with Cyclosporin, had head-injury 6 months ago, developed symptoms of forgetfulness, fatigue, fainting and frequent urination without any sensation, wants to know whether head-injury 6 months ago can cause such symptoms now.

Practically speaking yes, but it is very rare to get the symptoms after so many months hence this and other causes should be considered, clinically evaluated and investigated to find the cause and get treated accordingly.

MRI of head and spine. Tests of blood like CBC, sugar, organ function tests, Electrolytes and as advised. All these will lead to a proper diagnosis and gives plan for proper management.
